Peru Kabala, also spelled Kabbalah, is a popular lottery game from Peru.
It has been around for a few decades and is organised by the country’s biggest lottery company.
In this guide, we’ll explore what makes this game unique and show how you can buy Peru Kabala tickets online no matter where you are.
About Peru Kabala
Peru Kabala was launched on October 24, 1996.
It is run by Intralot de Peru, the country’s biggest lottery and sports betting company.
Intralot de Peru operates its games in association with the Sociedades de Beneficencia de Huancayo, Jaén, Lima and Arequipa.
It is supervised by the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.
Players must be at least 18 years old to buy tickets.
Tickets are sold online through Intralot de Peru or in person from official lottery retailers.
Peru Kabala Draws
Peru Kabala is a tri-weekly game with draws taking place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:00 p.m. PET.
All draws take place at the Intralot de Peru headquarters in Lima.
Players can purchase tickets up to 4:50 p.m. PET on draw days. Ticket sales resume immediately after the draw.
How to Play Peru Kabala
Peru Kabala is a very straightforward 6/40 format game. This means that players must select six numbers from a range of 1 through 40.
There are no bonus numbers in Peru Kabala. However, there is a bonus game that players can add on called Chau Chamba.
Chau Chamba uses the same numbers from the main draw. It has a total of four prize tiers, with a minimum of three matches needed for a prize.
The top prize for Chau Chamba is PEN 5,000 a month for 20 years-certainly not bad for a secondary game.
Along with standard tickets, players can buy tickets as Combination Entry and Advance Play.
With Combination Entry tickets, players can choose up to 15 numbers. The ticket will then consist of every combination those 15 numbers can make.
Combination Entry improves the odds of winning, though it of course costs extra.
Advance Play allows players to buy tickets for 2 to 6, 8, 12 or 16 future draws all at once.
A standard ticket for Peru Kabala for one draw is PEN 1, so it’s a very cheap game. It costs an extra PEN 1 to add a game of Chau Chamba.
Players who buy tickets online from third-party lotto websites may have to pay more for their tickets.
Peru Kabala Prizes and Odds
Peru Kabala has a total of five prize tiers in the main draw. As mentioned, the add-on game Chau Chamba has an additional four prize tiers.
Players must match all six numbers to win the Kabala jackpot. The lowest prize tier, which awards a free ticket, requires only two matches.
Peru Kabala has a minimum guaranteed jackpot of PEN 150,000. If there is no winner, the jackpot rolls over to the next draw.
There are no caps on rollovers or jackpots. With three draws every week, that means the top prize can grow quickly when there are no winners.
Kabala has pretty good jackpot odds of 1 in 3,838,380. However, there are games with similar odds that have better prizes.
For example, New Zealand Lotto has identical jackpot odds but has a jackpot of at least NZD $350,000. Secondary prizes for New Zealand Lotto are also much more substantial.
The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 13, which are pretty decent.
The prize and odds breakdown of each prize tier is as follows:
Numbers Matched | Odds of Winning | Estimated Winnings |
6 | 1 in 3,838,380 | Jackpot |
5 | 1 in 18,816 | PEN 500 |
4 | 1 in 456 | PEN 20 |
3 | 1 in 32 | PEN 2 |
2 | 1 in 6 | Free Play |
Claiming Peru Kabala Prizes
Lucky winners have up to 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
All prizes are awarded as lump-sum payouts.
Unfortunately, lottery winnings are subject to tax in Peru at a rate of 10%.
Players who win prizes through legitimate lottery websites may also be subject to the tax laws of their country of residence.
Notable Peru Kabala Winners
At the time of publishing this article, we could not find any information about the biggest Peru Kabala jackpot.
However, with the rolling jackpots and lack of a cap, prizes can grow to be pretty significant.
Recent jackpots grew into the PEN 800,000s, so it’s clear there have been many notable jackpots in its history.
Peru Kabala-Should You Play?
Peru Kabala is a popular and well-established game.
It is straightforward, cheap and has many features-like Combination Entry and Chau Chamba-that improve the odds of winning.
The biggest downside is that the game doesn’t really have any big prizes. However, the cheap ticket price does somewhat make up for this.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive lotto game with good jackpot odds, Peru Kabala could be the one to try.
